Hall of Fame Cowboys wide receiver and NFL Network analyst Michael Irvin is currently being investigated in a sexual assault case. Irvin, has declined comment on the matter thus far, which is not a surprise.
The news of the allegation is not the first for Irvin, who has now been “accused” of three sexual assaults in his lifetime.
As for the most recent one, a 27-year-old woman alleged to police that she and Irvin were at a bar and proceeded to go back to his hotel. She claims she started to feel sick in his room, vaguely remembers fighting him off, and woke up as he was checking out. She called 911 and went to a medical lab for a swab and blood test, according to TMZ.
“The allegations are completely false,” said Larry Friedman, Irvin’s lawyer told TMZ. “In the few hours since we’ve learned about them we’ve already discovered many red flags about this young woman’s background and the allegations she made against Michael. Even the complaint that she made specifically says she does not recall the events that took place. She was very drunk that night. Nothing happened and there was no assault.”
It’s amazing that the NFL network hasn’t commented on this yet, but I assure you, it will be addressed very soon.
